| Description | The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is to provide the families of children being treated in area medical facilities with a safe, affordable and caring “home away from home.” The first Ronald McDonald House opened in 1974 in Philadelphia and our House was founded in 2006 and opened its doors in May 2011. Today, there are more than 300 Ronald McDonald Houses in 52 countries, providing more than 10, 000 bedrooms where weary moms, dads, brothers, sisters and other loved ones can gather, lay their heads and experience the comforts of home. |
